Gary Barlow has vowed to write a song for Leona Lewis. The Take That star was so impressed by 'X Factor' winner Leona he wants to help kick-start her career by penning a hit song for the sexy songstress. Gary told Britain's Daily Sport newspaper: "She is by far the best voice we've had from a talent show. So it would be a privilege to help her get started. "I already have an idea for the kind of track that would suit her." The pair met when Leona sang with Gary and the rest of the reformed nineties boy band on the final of the ITV1 show. A TV insider said: "Gary offered there and then to help out." Gary wrote most of Take That's greatest hits, including 'Back for Good' and 'Never Forget', and has had huge success as a songwriter ever since. In response to Gary's proposal, Leona said: "I hope Simon Cowell says yes to the idea as he is the boss. "But this is beyond my wildest dreams. Gary Barlow wanting to write for me - wow!" Leona, 21, has already been compared to pop sensations Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey and her first single 'A Moment Like This' shot straight to number one. The singer, who worked as a secretary before wowing 'X Factor' audiences, is rumoured to have signed a multi-million pound deal with mentor and manager Simon Cowell in the US.
